Wind Breathing

Breath of Wind (風 (かぜ) の呼 (こ) 吸 (きゅう) , Kaze no Kokyū^?) is one of the five Breath Styles derived directly from the Breath of the Sun. The Breath Style was originally developed & taught by Yoriichi Tsugikuni to an unknown student, who could not master the Breath of the Sun and was instead trained in a specific alternative breath style to better suit his student's specific strengths and weaknesses eventually becoming an independent breath all together. The same is applicable for the other main Branch Breath Styles.

The Breath of the Beast, despite being independently developed by Inosuke Hashibira, is a derivative of the Breath of Wind, so it can be assumed that both styles use an enhanced sense of touch in their techniques.

The Breath of Mist is also noted to have been originally a derivative of the Breath of Wind.

Attack

1. First Style: Dust Whirlwind Cutter (壱 (いち) ノ型 (かた) 鹿 (じん) 旋 (せん) 風 (ぷう) ・削 (そ) ぎ, Ichi no kata: Jin Senpū・Sogi^?) - The swordsman dashes forward in a cyclone of slashes.
2. Second Style: Claws-Purifying Wind (弐 (に) ノ型 (かた) 爪 (そう) 々 (そう) ・科 (しな) 戸 (と) 風 (かぜ) , Ni no kata: Sōsō・Shinato Kaze ^?) - The swordsman lifts the sword upwards towards the right, above his head and does a vertical slash down creating four blades of wind that slashes down on the enemy like a claws.
3. Third Style: Clean Storm Wind Tree (参 (さん) ノ型 (かた) 晴 (せい) 嵐 (らん) 風 (ふう) 樹 (じゅ) , San no kata: Seiran Fūju ^?) - The swordsman uses his arm to slash around his body to create a whirlwind around him that slices up everything in its path.
4. Fourth Style: Rising Dust Storm (肆 (し) ノ型 (かた) 昇 (しょう) 上 (じょう) 砂 (さ) 塵 (じん) 嵐 (らん) , Shi no kata: Shōjō Sajinran^?) - The swordsman swings his blade downwards from several directions.
5. Fifth Style: Winter Gale (伍 (ご) ノ型 (かた) 木 (こ) 枯 (が) らし颪 (おろし) , Go no kata: Kogarashi Oroshi^?) - The swordsman strikes from above while falling in a multitude of arced slashes.
6. Sixth Style: Black Wind Mountain Mist (陸 (ろく) ノ型 (かた) 黒 (こく) 風 (ふう) 烟 (えん) 嵐 (らん) , Roku no kata: Kokufū Enran^?) - The swordsman strikes from the side, while rotating the body in a position to deliver a uppercut movement, creating a slashing tornado.
7. Seventh Style: Gale - Sudden Gusts (漆 (しち) ノ型 (かた) 頸 (けい) 風 (ふう) ・天 (てん) 狗 (ぐ) 風 (かぜ) , Shichi no kata: Keifū - Tengu kaze^?) - Sanemi leaps into the air while swinging his blade which generates gale-force winds to shred his opponent apart.
8. Eighth Style: Primary Gale Slash (捌 (はち) ノ型 (かた) 初 (しょ) 烈 (れっ) 風 (かざ) 斬 (き) り, Hachi no kata: Sho rekkaza kiri^?) - Sanemi leaps into the air and swings his blade which generates circular torrents of wind.
