Hashira Training Arc[]

During the Hashira Training Arc, Muzan Kibutsuji had Nakime, his new upper four, spying on the Demon Hunters. At the end of the Arc, Muzan pays a visit to Kagaya Ubuyashiki. They had a heating talk. As Muzan was about to kill Ubuyashiki, the whole mansion explodes. The head of the Demon Slayer Corps prepared tons of explosions as a trap to weaken the demon king. Ubuyashiki, his wife and two children died. Muzan is badly injured but recovers in an instant. While Muzan is distracted, Lady Tamayo uses Thorn Blood Demon Art that belongs to the person that Muzan turned into demon when he first met Tanjiro Kamado. The Blood Demon Art that she used created non-stop growing spikes which locked Muzan in place. Muzan is immobilized and is unable to get out. He tries to absorb the spikes, but Lady Tamayo uses Yushiro's Blood Demon Art to get close to Muzan and makes him absorb her hand instead. Inside Tamayo's hand, she holds a drug that can turn Demons back to human. While they're talking, Tamayo calls out to Gyomei Himejima. Gyomei runs towards to their location and smashes Muzan’s head with one swing of his weapon. Meanwhile, all of the Hashira rush over to the Ubuyashiki mansion and cornered Muzan. Muzan was stuck in place, but he sent all the Hashira’s and Demon Hunters to the Infinity Castle by using Nakime's blood demon art.
