What is a "Spoiler"?

See Spoiler on Wikipedia. For more information;

"A 'spoiler' is any form of information which reveals an element, summary, or detail of any piece of fiction which gives away the outcome of a dramatic scenario. Since the enjoyment of fiction might depend on the dramatic tension and suspense which is built, the external revelation of plot elements can 'spoil' the enjoyment that some consumers of the narrative would otherwise have experienced."

Manga Spoilers

Until the chapter is released by a public official translation site, that chapter's information is considered to be a spoiler. Therefore, until the licensed English publication or official Viz translation is released, it is simply forbidden to add any information from it. This includes:

  • Chapter Titles
  • Characters on Covers
  • Manuscripts of translations
  • Raws
  • Comments

If edits are made, they should be reverted on sight. The information, as insignificant as it might seem, could potentially ruin the fun of reading a newly released chapter for some.

Anime Spoilers

Episode articles are permitted to be made in advance if their titles have been revealed by an official source at the end of the previous episode, as this is thus information that has already been publicly released by an official source. However, no predictive plot details or other spoiler forms may be added until the episode has actually been released.

Discussions

Here on the wiki, we advocate for users to interact with each other via blogs and discussions. However, the spoiler policy is still enforced in these circumstances. If you wish to discuss any early releases, please head over to the affiliated Discord and join the discussion in the leak channel.

Additionally, while this is not a solid rule, it's preferred that you add a written spoiler warning before posting any text or image spoilers in Discussions. This counts for any major spoiler: it is still a spoiler even if it's already been adapted into the anime.

Consequences

If an individual is found to have revealed spoilers against someone's wishes, they will be given ONLY a single warning. If the same individual continues to disobey the spoiler policy, they will be considered for a block from the wiki.
