Kiriya Ubuyashiki (産 (うぶ) 屋 (や) 敷 (しき) 輝 (き) 利 (り) 哉 (や) Ubuyashiki Kiriya^?) is the son and middle child of Kagaya Ubuyashiki and the current head of the Ubuyashiki Household. He is also currently leading the Demon Slayer Corps as its new leader after his father Kagaya Ubuyashiki's passing.

Appearance

Kiriya has light pale skin and large eyes. He has the same hairstyle with the rest of his siblings; a blunt bob with a fringe covering his eyebrows. He is usually dressed in a kimono. As he was raised as a girl, he takes on a more feminine appearance. During the Final Selection test, he wore a purple kimono with patterned flowers and a green obi. His head is adorned with a wisteria headpiece.

Later on in the manga, he wore a black kimono with a a long white kimono jacket, reminiscence of his father.

Personality

During his first appearance in the series during the Final Selection test, he portrays himself to be polite,professional and somewhat emotionally detached having calmly and politely greeted the trainees in sync with his sister and professionally explained the details regarding the test and again seemed somewhat unfazed by Genya's roughly man handling his sister due to impatience in their explanation of their induction into the Corps. Later upon his father, mother and sisters deaths, Kiriya shows a entirely different side to himself, showing his capabilities as a capable leader having immediately jumped into his new position and immediately organized himself to monitor and command the Demon Slayers on their attack against Muzan and his Demon Moons, despite just losing half of his family and not even properly having the time to mourn for them yet, showing that he possessed powerful mental fortitude and being emotionally stronger in comparison to his younger sister who momentarily broke into tears in grief.

History

He is Kagaya Ubuyashiki's and Amane Ubuyashiki's third child and only son of their five children. He was born after his two older twin sisters and before his two younger twin sisters. As the only son, only male heir and the oldest living child left of Kagaya, he becomes the next head of the Ubuyashiki family and the first in line to inherit his father's position as commander of the Demon Slayer Corps.

Final Selection Arc

Kiriya appeared along with one of his sisters at the Final Selection to greet and inform the Demon Slayers in training of what their last trial will entail.

Abilities and Powers

Leadership Skills - Much like his Father, Kiriya has displayed advanced skills in leading and commanding an army into battle,despite his young age,as seen when he was able to immediately take command of the Demon Slayer Corps's command structure and began giving and assisting the Pillars logistical support and guiding them into battle.
Intuition - Similar to his Father and his ancestors,Kiriya has displayed a high almost prophetic intuition being able make accurate guesses and hypothesis that were often proven right through feeling alone.
Photographic memory - Kiriya has also displayed extremely accurate memory,as seen when he and his sisters were able to easily map out and memorize near constantly changing and altering infrastructure of the Infinite Fortress stronghold of the Twelve Demon Moons and create accurate maps to navigate and guide the Pillars through it in real time.
