Personality
During his first appearance in the series during the Final Selection test, he portrays himself to be polite,professional and somewhat emotionally detached having calmly and politely greeted the trainee's in sync with his sister and professionally explained the details regarding the test and again seemed somewhat unfazed by Genya's roughly man handling his sister due to impatience in their explanation of their induction into the Corps. Later upon his father, mother and sisters deaths, Kiriya shows a entirely different side to himself,showing his capabilities as a capable leader having immediately jumped into his new position and immediately organized himself to monitor and command the Demon Slayers on their attack against Muzan and his Demon Moons,despite just losing half of his family and not even properly having the time to mourn for them yet,showing that he possessed powerful mental fortitude and being emotionally stronger in comparison to his younger sister who momentarily broke into tears in grief.
History
He is Kagaya Ubuyashiki's and Amane Ubuyashiki's third child and only son of their five children,he was born after his two older twin sisters and before his two younger twin sisters,as the only son and only male heir of Kagaya,he is the next head of the Ubuyashiki family and the first in line to inherit his father position as commander of the Demon Slayer Corps.
