    • Hi there!

I’m not entirely sure what you mean by this message, but if you wish to create an Indonesian language wiki for Kimetsu no Yaiba then we’d be more than happy to help you add interwiki links, etc and support your wiki as its English version. However, I don’t believe any of the active admins or editors here will be able to help you out with translating the articles on this wiki into Indonesian since, to my knowledge, none of us are familiar enough with the language to be able to do so.

Apologies if I misunderstood what you were saying (please feel free to correct me if I’m wrong), and happy editing!

    • Hello there,

Same thing that Zen said, you are more than welcome to use the information on the wiki as a reference to set up a wiki, but none of us would be able to help you in moderating the information on it. You could use this tool to create a new wiki and if you have any questions feel free to ask us, or check the articles over on Community Central.

  • Correct me if I am wrong but for demonstration where it says “anime” shouldn't it say "Fire God Dance" instead of "Flame Dance", because it has stated that those are two different things in the anime.

P.S. I hope that didn’t come off as snotty ik I came in yesterday but I couldn’t help myself but to point that out

    • Hey there! no problem you're good. I believe Flame Dance is what's used in the ViZ translation within the manga so thats what we use. Let me double check the manga and I'll get back to you on that.

Edit: So I double checked and the manga uses "Flame Dance" but Ill add a note to mention that its different from a Breath of Flames attack.

  • Hi again, this user has been vandalising across the Wiki, specifically the Tanjiro, Giyu & Rui pages, could you look into them: DevilTownIsColder

  • Hello, I hope this finds you well! The latest chapter on Manga PLUS had some attack names that were different from what's used on the Breath Style pages for the respective attacks, one example being Beast Breathing 6th Fang (going from Jagged Gnaw to Palisade Bite). I was wondering if it'd be alright to update the page to reflect that.

I also wanted to point out that some Breath pages use Style instead of Form for attack names and if those should be changed to be Form instead like the Manual of Style directs us to do. Since when I write chapter summaries I refer to the Breath Pages for accurate attack names (I use the scans as VIZ is not available in my location) but the MoS says one thing and the pages are written in a different way so it gets a tad confusing at times so I was wondering if you could weigh in on that.

    • I went out of my way to check the Viz translation for Inosuke's Fang Styles found below. For some reason the second and fourth have the same translation so I don't know how the wiki wants to handle it.

      • First Fang: Pierce
      • Second Fang: Slice “N” Dice
      • Third Fang: Devour
      • Fourth Fang: Slice “N” Dice
      • Fifth Fang: Crazy Cutting
      • Sixth Fang: Palisade Bite
      • Seventh Fang: Spatial Awareness
      • Eight Fang: Explosive Rush
      • Ninth Fang: Extending Bendy Slash
      • Tenth Fang: Whirling Fangs
      • Eleventh Fang: Sudden Throwing Strike

    • Thanks so much, you saved me so much time of having to find them! T^T

    • So the information was given in the image below which can be found in Volume 17. 鳴柱 is the kanji that's used which roughly translates to Roaring Hashira whereas 雷柱 would translate to Thunder/Lightning Hashira etc. Technically it's not the official translation, but it is considered correct. When the ViZ translation comes out, and they use Thunder then we would just change it to Thunder but until then, Roaring is the most correct.

    • So it is indeed that. While it is 鳴り, if an official isn't being followed, I would like to suggest a change to Thunder. 雷 does mean lightning/thunder, but 鳴神 is an archaic way of it (I do realise that the 神 which makes the word what it is is missing here), and I think the series takes place in the past so it should fit and would also be accurate.

I understand that i'm going against the literal translation here (which would actually be "Ringing Pillar"), but I feel that as there no official to strictly follow, it wouldn't be a bad idea to use the one which fits better (I'd argue Thunder does than Roaring here), and was also the one used by the person translaing the chapters for a long time, who I assume is pretty respected in the commuinity.

  • Spoiler warning for the latest chapter.

Think we can use this on the Breath of the Sun page? Also, how should the wiki handle the Dance of the Fire God page? I personally believe it should stay as it is so the anime viewers won't be spoiled. I think Tanjiro's page should also keep the Dance of the Fire God name instead. Even if a spoiler tag is used, it would still make it very obvious what the wiki is trying to hide. I feel like it's such a big thing to not spoil for anime fans. Maybe lock the pages for admins only?

    • Hey there!

There's more information on the User Page Policy and Talk Page Policy. Generally TP (Talk Pages) are used only discuss editing of articles and such, whereas MW (Message Walls) allow for general communication. The problem for your MW thread was that it wasn't about Kimetsu no Yaiba at all, and only talked about another series, and mainly revolved around a personal conflict. Which is why after talking to the other Team members, we decided to close it.

Your MW hasn't been disabled and you aren't going to be disciplined or anything for this, so you can continue to create threads but try to make sure that they are related to KNY. I hope this doesn't discourage you from contributing to the wiki and being a member of the community.

Please contact anyone from the Team if you have any concerns.
