I'd like to request to become an affiliate with you guys. I am starting up a new Demon Slayer Role-play wiki and want to acknowledge you guys as our "mother" site where we get info for some of our pages. Respond as soon as you can.
Hey there! I'm Undella, an admin from the The Promised Neverland Wiki. I wanted to ask if you're willing to affiliate Kimetsu no Yaiba Wiki with the The Promised Neverland Wiki? If you're interested, here is our wordmark. Thank you in advance.
Where should I add information on the spinoffs of KnY? There are no pages on this wiki for non-anime/manga stuff.
I recently compiled a list on Wikipedia;
Kimetsu no Yaiba: Tomioka Giyū Gaiden, a two-chapter manga spinoff, was published in the 18th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump in 2019. Gotouge is credited with the original work, and Hirano is drawing the manga. The manga follows the character Giyū Tomioka.
Kimetsu no Aima!, a colored 4koma spinoff by Ryōji Hirano, was serialised between April 7th and October 6th on Shueisha's Shonen Jump+ app and website. The manga featured chibi versions of the characters from the main series.
Demon Slayer: One-Winged Butterfly (鬼滅の刃 片羽の蝶) is a light novel by Koyoharu Gotōge and Aya Yajima that was published and released in Japanese bookstores on October 4, 2019. It details the lives of Shinobu and Kanae Kocho before and soon after they joined the Demon Slayers after Himejima Gyomei saved their lives.
Demon Slayer: Flower of Happiness (鬼滅の刃 しあわせの花) is a light novel by Gotōge and Aya Yajima that was published and released in Japanese bookstores on February 4, 2019. It chronicles the lives of Tanjiro and Zenitsu before the start of the main series, as well as glimpses into the lives of Aoi and Kanao. It also features a single chapter of an alternate universe where the characters of the series are attending an ordinary high school.
Demon Slayer: Official Fanbook was released in July 2019.. It features background information on several characters from the series.
Hello, for the moment you can add them to the manga page, after "Volumes" section. Since the manga is the original material, we can add "Adaptations" section and list and link to other articles (anime, stage play, novels, spin-offs, etc).
Eventually we will create separate articles about the spin-offs and the novels, but for the moment you can place the info there.
Hello, would you be able to lock Genya and Muichiro's pages again for a while? There's been a lot of edit warring over whether they're dead or not which I think we could do without until their deaths are actually confirmed.
Hello, I have locked the pages. I would have wanted more proof myself, but given the current information I'm willing to believe they are Deceased. Given Genya's healing, he do have a better chance at surviving and Muichiro's sword still affecting Kokushibo, may indicate he is still alive. But I want to end this pointless argument. If they are shown alive, we will just change the status again.
I have been observing your edits. Are you interested in being Content Mod? Future promotions are also possible if you remain active.
I am new to this series, and would like to make contributions to the wiki.
What is this wiki's policy on which translations to use for articles? i.e. Fan translations vs official translations (VIZ)? Which one takes precedence, and why? I've been reading the VIZ version, so I was just wondering.
For the Pillars, we agreed that it can stay and both to be used. But any episode/chapter title should use the official translation which is given with Hashira.
The Twelve Kizuki can possible stay for now, until we discuss it too, as it also feels just untranslated. But I will have to discuss the term with others. For Lower-6, well no. Mostly because the translation comes from what's written in their eyes and that is what is indeed said in the eye, but full position has also "moon" kanji. So Lower-6 is just the short name for the position.
For the Breath, will need to discuss it too. Both are pretty similar, so we will need to decide which to keep. While I kinda agree 2nd one is more correct, it fore sure more weird.
For the quotes. Yes you can change them to official ones. Same as all technique names.
For the Hashira, how about the "Pillar" page? Does it stay as Pillars, or can it be changed to Hashira?
Does the official VIZ translation use the word "moon" at all? I know the kanji for moon is in the original Japanese, but the VIZ version doesn't use use the word moon at all, as far as I remember. If it does, which chapter is it?
For the breathing styles, I think "______ Breathing" sounds better. On top of being the official term, it sounds like a more active voice.
I just want to say that you're great at image editing! The way you managed to crop out the artwork for the Pillars is flawless! I thought the official site has uploaded the png images or something at first!
Thanks, I was also waiting to see if the site will release them, but guessed it won't. And in all honesty, the renders can be better, but didn't feel like wasting too much time as even like this they are good enough.
