Noguchi ( () (ぐち) Noguchi?) is a Demon Slayer from the Demon Slayer Corps.

Appearance[]

Noguchi is a male with a long bob cut hairstyle, green eyes, and an x-shaped scar on his right shoulder.

Personality[]

Not much is known about his personality, but he is impressed by the Hashira's skills.

History[]

At a point in his life, Noguchi joined the Demon Slayer Corps.

Synopsis[]

Hashira Training Arc[]

Noguchi is first seen undergoing Serpent Hashira Obanai Iguro's sword skill revision training. He had failed to meet the harsh Serpent Hashira's expectations and as punishment was tied up to a podium and was made to be an obstacle to avoid being hit. At some point, he was presumably let down and trained as well, leaving him but a bunch of bruises.

When he and some other trainees, including Tanjiro Kamado and Takeuchi were about to enter a hot onsen bath, they knew that it was going to agitate their bruises, so they decided to go in simultaneously. They did, but still scream and wince in agony.[1] He is seen eating and conversing with Murata and Tanjiro while eating fish at Gyomei Himejima's muscle amplification training. He concurs with Murata, Yoshioka, Nagakura, and Shimamoto with the sentiment that the reason the current Hashira have no Tsuguko is because they all became frightened by the laborious training. Noguchi adds on to this by using Zenitsu Agatsuma as an example; he suggests that their souls were crushed by the difference in power between them.[2] Nevertheless, he enjoys Tanjiro's cooking and is even moved to tears by his grilled onigiri.[1]

Later on he and Shimamoto interrupt Tanjiro's attempt to push a massive boulder and request him to cook dinner. Tanjiro happily complies, causing them to jokingly refer to him as "mom".[1]

Final Battle Arc[]

Assuming that Noguchi was one of the many Demon Slayers transported into the Infinity Castle, it's unknown if Noguchi was one of the many Demon Slayers weeded out by either the lower ranking demons infesting the castle, or by Muzan Kibutsuji himself following his emergence from his flesh cocoon and after the castle had collapsed. It should be noted that when confronting Muzan, Inosuke lamented the deaths of the Demon Slayers he had shared meals with and demands that he gives them back. Since Noguchi matches this description, his death is a possibility.

Abilities[]

Noguchi is presumed to have above average Demon Slayer abilities, as evidenced by him reaching the final stage of Hashira Training, and not quitting the grueling training like other Demon Slayers.

Trivia[]

  • Noguchi's Japanese voice actor is unknown, with only his English voice actor being revealed in the Netflix release of Season 4.
  • Like his fellow trainees, Noguchi's name was revealed in a text block in Chapter 134, which was omitted in Episode 60 of the anime, leaving him a nameless extra.
