Will-power has nothing to do with Akaza or Kokushibou's regeneration, it's because of their concentration of Muzan's blood, Doma could head regen too if not for the poison stopping his regeneration completely - Akaza was still regenerating after he lost his will to live and literally had to try to outpace his own regeneration and Kokushibou lost will as he was regenerating immensely, being UM 1 and having the strongest and most concentration of Muzan's blood he regenerated tremendously so much that he transformed - Willpower has nothing to do with regeneration, if it did, Kaigaku, Gyokko, Gyutaro would all be able to survive head decapitation.

Demon Slayer Mark[]

Kokushibo became a demon because he didn't want to die from his mark, correct?...if so, why was he that dumb? if he died at 25 from the mark, Yoriichi would as well...but I don't think Yoriichi did end up dying at 25 and lived beyond that, so wouldn't Kokushibo have lived past 25 as well? • Sigh* Incorrect. Did you read the manga? It is stated that Yoriichi only survived because he was born with the mark, which Kokushibo was not. Due to that single fact, yes, Kokushibo would have died at 25 years old without a single doubt. In his mind, he was perfectly in the right to become a demon, as he killed two birds with one stone. Well, not really. He became a demon to be immune to the mark, which he got, but also to be stronger then Yoriichi, which he failed at.

Incorrect[]

Yoriichi had only survived the demon slayer mark due to being born with it, and Kokushibo unlocked it, he was not born with it. That means that yes, Kokushibo would have died from the mark if he never turned into a demon. Yoriichi was special case in which he was born with the mark, a one time occurrence that Kokushibo did not get.
