In the train maintenance facility, Tatsu is resting in the office when Flame Hashira Kyojuro Rengoku arrives in the main hall to bring the workers bento boxes with food. The chief engineer instructs a worker to deliver a box to the resting Tatsu. However, the Slasher demon has entered the building in search of new prey and finds Tatsu. The demon captures Tatsu, holding him hostage by his neck. When Kyojuro and the other workers arrive at the scene, Tatsu cries out to the chief. Seeing a Demon Slayer, the demon tortures the boy, puncturing his cheek with a clawed thumb and digging clawed fingers into his chest. Tatsu cries out in pain from the demon’s claws.

Slasher uses his Blood Demon Art while holding Tatsu.
The demon taunts Kyojuro, using his Blood Demon Art to dash around the Hashira while holding Tatsu, goading him into attacking. He warns Kyojuro that the boy will die if he directly attempts to strike. The workers flee in terror while Kyojuro stands his ground. The demon boasts about his speed, claiming Kyojuro cannot kill him without harming the boy. Tatsu, bleeding and terrified, begs Kyojuro to save him.

Kyojuro saves Tatsu from Slasher
Noticing the bento box and Kyojuro’s angered expression, the demon deduces that the box likely came from a nearby station and decides to kill the vendors to spite Kyojuro. Before he leaves the demon threatens to kill Tatsu in front of Kyojuro and when he attempts to do that, Kyojuro swiftly cuts off both of the demon's arms and catches the falling Tatsu. The demon retreats and, standing outside the shed, detects the scent of the nearby station and speeds off to kill the vendors. Kyojuro administers first aid to Tatsu and leaves him in the care of the arriving Demon Slayer members, who were guided to the train maintenance facility by his Kasugai Crow. Later, the medical squad will treat Tatsu’s wounds upon their arrival.[1]
